Service Spotlight

Market Analysis Solutions

A product must offer a unique proposition to a set of customers who are willing to pay for it. Too many new products do not. Does your product satisfy important, unmet customer needs, or is it just another “me too” product?

Using our food industry resources and expertise, The FPC can provide a fast and affordable assessment of the uniqueness of, and market receptivity towards, your new product idea. If market response is weak, or the market really wants a different version of your original idea, you can stop and re-evaluate before making additional investments and possibly committing to a final form of the product that doesn’t deliver real customer benefits.

With your New Food Profile and Online Concept Test reports, you’ll develop more accurate assessments of the existing product market space, the uniqueness of your new product idea, and initial levels of potential customer receptivity. Armed with this information, you can differentiate your products and enhance customer benefits through more effective product design, distribution, pricing and promotional strategies. In the end, superior planning and execution will lead to greater customer satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability. And in the end, isn’t that what it’s really all about!

Success Stories

Apollo Foods

The friendship between Amanda Klane and Drew Harrington dates to kindergarten and has endured since. A passion for sports and active living has further cemented the relationship. Both were standout high school athletes—Amanda in soccer and Drew in track & field—and went on to compete collegiately at the Division I level.

In July of 2009, the duo teamed up to explore the idea of starting a food manufacturing business after Amanda was introduced to frozen Greek yogurt while working as a food broker. Inspired by the product, Amanda and Drew embarked on a journey to create a healthy, high protein frozen novelty product utilizing Greek yogurt. Learn more about Amanda’s and Drew’s journey with The Food Processing Center.
